Destiny 2 Forsaken Bergusia Forge is here after Bungie concedes Niobe Labs too hard

The Destiny 2 Black Armory gravy train continues with the release of; Bergusia Forge. But it certainly hasn’t been without controversy.

As part of this week’s reset, Niobe Labs was released to Destiny 2 players who have the annual pass. It was meant to be the gateway that any Fireteam would need to solve in order to unlock the Bergusia Forge for everyone else.

Over 27 hours later, no one had been able to solve it. The cryptic puzzles have stumped world-class Destiny Cyrptarchs like Datto and Teawrex who renowned for their puzzle solving.

Bergusia Forge

Heck, it’s so complicated I can’t even tell you what’s going on besides having players shoot symbols with specific Black Armory weapons and clearing waves of enemies like Escalation Protocol.

As a result, Bungie backtracked and decoupled the Bergusia Forge from the Niobe Labs quest. It’s now live for all annual pass holders.

Bungie had this to say in a statement on their blog:

While coming together as a community to solve puzzles can be fun, setting this puzzle up as a gate between you and new content that you want to play has not been an ideal experience.

As such, we will be decoupling the puzzle from the final offering of the Black Armory. All Annual Pass owners will be able to experience the Bergusia Forge when the puzzle is solved or when the deadline expires – whichever happens first.

This is the second time since Black Armory launched that Bungie has had to step in and change the parameters of the game due to fan complaints. It’s good to know that Bungie is at the very least, far more agile in responding to the players.

As it stands, Niobe Labs still hasn’t been solved but Bungie says it shall remain open to players. Whoever solves it will get a special emblem and Ghost shell.

It’s going to be a whole other debate as to whether Bungie should keep changing Destiny everytime the player base riots about some piece of content being too hard. I empathise with them. It’s a very fine line they’re walking.

Players can go get grinding the Bergusia Forge and have their final showdown with the big-bad, Siviks.

Here’s a cool launch trailer to celebrate(or commiserate about Niobe Labs)
