Enter the world of Chaos in Warhammer Chaosbane, coming in 2019

Bigben and Eko Software are bringing Warhammer to Diablo fans with Warhammer Chaosbane due out in 2019. Unlike Warhammer 40K Inquisitor Martyr, which is also a Diabloesque title, Chaosbane is based on the classic, fantasy Warhammer and not the Grimdark future of 40K.

In Warhammer Chaosbane, players will be able to team up, with up to four local or online players taking on the hordes of Chaos.

There are multiple classes, each with unique abilities and strategies which will require teams to work together to discover the best synergies for dealing with the enemy.

Warhammer Chaosbane

Like Warhammer 40K Inquisitor Martyr was the first ever action-RPG set in the 40K universe, Warhammer Chaosbane is the first action-RPG set in the classic Warhammer universe.

According to Bigben and Eko Software, the plot is as follows;

Long before the reign of our glorious Karl Franz, the bloodthirsty tribes of the North united and invaded the Empire of Man.

The Great War Against Chaos raged on, up until Magnus the Pious rallied the citizens of Nuln, resisted the enemy and defeated the Chaos leader, known as ‘The Everchosen’, scattering the invaders in the process.

But the forces of Chaos have crawled back from the shadows to strike at the Empire. Unless something is done, the Empire of Man will again descend into darkness and turmoil.

Players will be able to choose human, high elf, wood elf or dwarf as they play through iconic locations from the Warhammer universe including Praag and Nuln.

Warhammer Chaosbane is in development for PC, PS4 and Xbox One and will be released in 2019.
