Underworld Ascendant launches in November

OtherSide Entertainment and 505 Games today announced that Underworld Ascendant will launch for PC this November. OtherSide is an independent studio co-founded by Paul Neurath and Warren Spector.

Their combined experience makes them uniquely poised to develop a game like Underworld Ascendant. Underworld Ascendant is a sequel to Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss and Ultima Underworld II: Labyrinth of Worlds.

Players will return to the Stygian Abyss, summoned by the mysterious Cabirus.

Underworld Ascendant

Once in the Stygian Abyss, The Ascendant discovers that a threat to both worlds can only be stopped by them. In order to defeat Typhon, players will need to discover what happened to those living in the Abyss and learn enough to defeat it once and for all.

As with previous titles in the franchise, Underworld Ascendant boasts emergent gameplay that rewards experimentation. Players can choose how to upgrade their Ascendant, choosing from a range of skills and abilities. Each choice alters the gameplay in different and meaningful ways.

Underworld Ascendant is coming to PC via Steam on November 15 and can be wishlisted on Steam.
