Halo Fireteam Raven launches at Timezone in Sydney this week

Microsoft, 343 Industries and Timezone have announced that the very first arcade version of Halo — Halo Fireteam Raven — is launching this week.

Coming to Sydney’s Timezone Macquarie Centre on Thursday this week, Halo Fireteam Raven is a state-of-the-art arcade experience set in the Halo universe.

Halo Fireteam Raven is playable by up to four players and can be played competitively or co-operatively.

Halo Fireteam Raven has been designed and crafted by 343 Industries over several years and is set in the same time as Halo: Combat Evolved.

Players will play on a 130-inch screen with 4K visuals and 5.1 surround sound. They will also take part in a battle alongside Master Chief, going up against Covenant and Flood forces.

When players step into the game, they’ll be in the shoes of Fireteam Raven, a group of Orbital Drop Shock Troopers. While playing, you can save your high score by scanning a special QRC code and upload it to Halo Waypoint.

Kane Fong, General Manager of Timezone Australia is incredibly excited to bring Halo Fireteam Raven to Australia.

Bringing the arcade game version of Halo to Timezone Macquarie Centre gives the game’s dedicated fan base a chance to play like never before. Timezone is thrilled to introduce this first-in-Australia experience to fans as part of Timezone’s 40th birthday celebrations.

Play First

If you want to be among the first players to play Halo Fireteam Raven in Australia, you can head to Timezone’s Facebook (or Instagram) and “tell us why you’d want to be the first to play!”

Winners will be chosen from these posts and will get to play Halo Fireteam Raven and will also win a year’s worth of play at Timezone.

The official launch of Halo Fireteam Raven will happen on Thursday, July 26, 2018, from 12 pm through to 8 pm. In attendance at the event will be the 405th Australian Regiment, in costume and ready to take photos.

The 405th Australian Regiment is the largest Halo costume group community in the region. On the day, there will also be prizes up for grabs in a cosplay competition, including a year’s worth of play at Timezone.

After the launch in Sydney, Halo Fireteam Raven will be available in Melbourne, Gold Coast and Perth in August.
