The Jetpack will be added to Fortnite soon

Fortnite players have been waiting a long time to get their hands on the Jetpack and it looks like their dreams are about to come true.

According to YouTubers Two Epic Buddies, the Jetpack is coming to Fortnite “this or next week.” The Fortnite Jetpack was first announced way back in February when the Season 3 Battle Pass was launched.

However, Epic pulled the Jetpack from release due to a “last minute design change.” What that was is anyone’s guess, but it now looks like the Jetpack is about to become a reality.

Fortnite Jetpack Update

Two Epic Buddies do have a track record when it comes to Fortniteas they correctly revealed the start date of Season 4 ahead of time.

Another Twitter user retweeted Two Epic Buddies writing that they hoped the Fortnite Jetpack was just a launch pad, however, Two Epic Buddies was quick to correct them. They tweeted that the Jetpack has full thrusting capabilities.

It certainly sounds like it will give players the ability to fly across the map, but how restricted and limited it is, remains to be seen.

The Jetpack was originally supposed to arrive in February but was removed at the last minute. Epic Games instead released the Hunting Rifle in the Jetpack’s place. Epic Games said at the time;

This week’s new item is being changed from the Jetpack to the Hunting Rifle.

We found a last minute design issue with the Jetpack that’s going to delay its launch and we’re working on correcting it.

The Jetpack will lift off at a later time.

Meanwhile, you’ll be able to enjoy lots of no-scopes with the new Hunting Rifle item and a new, lucky point of interest on the map.

Within Fortnite version 3.1.0 files, data miners found evidence to suggest that the Jetpack would have a hover mode which would save on fuel consumption. However, it’s still unclear just how players refuel the Jetpack and what item they’ll use to do so.

It’s also been suggested that the Jetpack will only appear in Limited Time Mode’s and will debut in an upcoming LTM called ”Take to the Skies.”

For now, this all remains conjecture as the only evidence that the Jetpack is coming is the tweet from Two Epic Buddies. Let’s hope it’s true though because, let’s face it, we all want to fly around the island with a private Jetpack.

Fortnite is available now.
