Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and The Millionaires’ Conspiracy DX is coming to Switch

It’s been confirmed that Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and The Millionaires’ Conspiracy DX is coming to Nintendo Switch.

The game was released for 3DS and mobile platforms in 2017. Starring Professor Layton’s daughter Katrielle, players follow her as she searches for her missing father.

Unlike other games in the series, there are 12 unique cases in Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and The Millionaires’ Conspiracy DX which was introduced in order to bring the series back to its roots.

Layton on Switch

The port of Layton on Switch was confirmed by Famitsu (via Ryokutya2089) and will be released in Japan on August 9, 2018.

Layton’s Mystery Journey on Switch will take advantage of the consoles NFC in some way and will also be able to be controlled via Joy-Con in addition to the touchscreen.

While this is just a port, it may be a sign that other Layton games on Switch might be on the way. Level-5 did say that it would be releasing all future games on Switch, so it’s likely we’ll be seeing more from Professor Layton.

Let’s hope it gets a release in the west too.
