Wolfenstein 2 on Switch includes Joy-Con Motion controls

Wolfenstein 2 Switch had its release date revealed yesterday and is now available for pre-order on the eShop.

In addition to cramming such a massive and visually impressive game onto the Switch, Wolfenstein 2 on Switch will also feature motion controls.

Players will be able to use the Joy-Cons separately to create the “perfect blend of immersion and accuracy.”

Wolfenstein 2 Switch Motion Controls

In the release date trailer for Wolfenstein 2 Switch, there is a couple of brief scenes showing the player using the Joy-Cons. Motion controls look to be used for pouring Gasoline out, but we’re not shown any Motion Control aiming.

Given that Wolfenstein famously allows players to dual-wield weapons, it’ll be interesting to see if there is full, independent aiming for each weapon. It seems unlikely, given that in other versions of the game, both weapons aim at the same point.

If however, players are able to aim their weapons separately, it would introduce an entirely new way to play to Wolfenstein 2 Switch. But, we wouldn’t hold our breath.

According to Bethesda, the motion controls are for players to “fine-tune their shots with the flick of a wrist.”

Wolfenstein 2 Switch File Size

Now that Wolfenstein 2 is available for pre-order on the eShop the file size for the game has been revealed.

Wolfenstein 2 on Switch will take up 13.7GB of storage space, so get ready to delete some games or invest in an SD card.

Wolfenstein 2 is priced at $79.95 AUD on Switch and $59.99 USD.

It will be released on June 29, 2018.
