Onrush ‘Choose Your Weapon’ trailer shows off different vehicles and tactics

Onrush, the first game from Codemasters’ new Cheshire team (formerly Evolution Studios) is looking like an epic throwback to arcade racing games of old. Onrush vehicles are classic archetypes for a new racing generation.

In the latest trailer, ‘Choose Your Weapon,’ Codemasters gives players a rundown of the Onrush vehicles, how best to build your Rush meter and how to take out your opponents.

The different vehicle types all have unique tactics and should give players plenty to choose from.

Onrush Vehicles and Tactics

The trailer shows off eight different types of Onrush vehicle which includes;

  • Charger
  • Interceptor
  • Blade
  • Enforcer
  • Dynamo
  • Outlaw
  • Vortex
  • Titan

All but Blade and Dynamo are four-wheeled vehicles with the former being two different types of motorbike.

It’s clear from the trailer that each Onrush vehicle class is designed to provide a different kind of racing experience. While some vehicles are lighter and faster, others are heavy and strong.

The tradeoff between them seems to be pretty standard, i.e. acceleration, top-speed and the like. However, each class also has unique ways of earning Rush and of taking out the other races.

Players will need to use all of their skills in Onrush to earn Rush and wreck their opponents. Check out the trailer below for all the metal crushing details.

Onrush will be available for PS4 and Xbox One on June 5, 2018.
