Saber Interactive officially announces NBA Playgrounds 2, coming in 2018

After we spotted NBA Playgrounds 2‘s classification in Australia yesterday, we reached out to Saber Interactive for comment.

And now, Saber Interactive has officially announced NBA Playgrounds 2, coming to PC, PS4, Switch and Xbox One.

NBA Playgrounds 2 promises to improve upon the original game and include more mode, more players, more playground and more courts.

A brand-new worldwide ranking league mode will be introduced in NBA Playgrounds 2. Dubbed Playgrounds Championship, players will take part in “multiple competitive solo and co-op division” matches to climb up the ladders and reach the top,

Season Mode will give players the feeling of leading a team through the regular season and through to the NBA Playoffs and championship. Season Mode is a single player experience that will help players hone their skills before taking to the online modes and matches.

With improved matchmaking and dedicated servers, NBA Playgrounds 2 is aiming to deliver the best competitive, arcade basketball experience possible. Four-player online matches will also be introduced in NBA Playgrounds 2.

Welcome back to the Playground

Returning to NBA Playgrounds 2 will be three-point contests and custom matches. it will also feature over 200 NBA stars including Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, James Harden, Kyrie Irving, LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Anthony Davis, DeMar DeRozan, Damian Lillard, Karl-Anthony Towns, Shaquille O’Neal, Magic Johnson, Dr. J., Allen Iverson and Larry Bird

Finally, NBA Playgrounds 2 will include all new power-ups, improved AI and all-new player models and animation.

No release date has been given as yet, but Saber Interactive says that NBA Playgrounds 2 will be released in 2018 for PC, PS4, Switch and Xbox One,.
