SEGA announces digital only Valkyria Chronicles for Nintendo Switch

SEGA has announced today that Valkyria Chronicles for Nintendo Switch, will be releasing via the eShop later this year. 

The digital-only release on Valkyria Chronicles for Nintendo Switch was announced on Twitter by the official SEGA account. The remaster will launch for Switch alongside Valkyria Chronicles 4 for Nintendo’s console.

Those who purchase Valkyria Chronicles 4 on the eShop will receive a discount on Valkyria Chronicles for Nintendo Switch.

Valkyria Chronicles for Nintendo Switch

The SEGA announcement of Valkyria Chronicles for Nintendo Switch reveals that it will launch in Japan this Autumn for 1,990 Yen. It is exclusive to the eShop and won’t be getting a physical release.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 was delayed from its original summer release date to Autumn in the US and Europe, Spring in Australia and New Zealand. It was released in Japan for PS4 on March 21. 

Those who purchase Valkyria Chronicles 4 on Switch will receive a discount code to purchase Valkyria Chronicles for Nintendo Switch for only 500 Yen. Whether this deal will carry over to the west remains to be seen.

Valkyria Chronicles on the go

Valkyria Chronicles for Nintendo Switch, like the remaster on PlayStation 4, includes all DLC of the original game. 

A western release has not yet been announced, though it’s likely it will be shortly.
