Fortnite is now available on iOS worldwide

Exciting news Fortnite fans. Epic has announced today that Fornite iOS is available worldwide. That’s right, anyone can now download Fortnite iOS and play free.

No more invite codes needed.

Fortnite iOS

Fortnite iOS only includes the game’s Battle Royale mode and originally launched as a special invite-only event earlier this month. Now, players anywhere in the world can download and play Fornite on iOS.

In this early stage, players are unable to use Bluetooth controllers, but Epic has promised to add support at a later date. This is good news for mobile players who want to play with friends on other platforms.

Fortnite iOS does support cross-platform play, but by default mobile players will be matched with other mobile players. If a mobile player joins a friend’s squad who is playing on another platform, the matchmaking then switches to cross-platform.

Epic has stated that the game’s Save the World mode will not be coming to mobile due to the processing power required.

Battle Royale on the go

With Fortnite iOS now launching globally, the game’s plans for world domination are in full swing. To play Fornite on mobile you’ll need to have an internet connection and iOS 11 on at least an iPhone 6S/SE, iPad Mini 4, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad 2017 devices or later.

Support for Android devices is coming at a later date. Jailbroken devices are not supported.

Fortnite iOS is available worldwide right now. What are you waiting for?
