Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is this year’s Call of Duty

It was one of this week’s worst kept secrets and now Activision is confirming what we already knew. Call of Duty Black Ops 4 is this year’s Call of Duty.

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 is in development at Treyarch and appears to continue the storyline of Black Ops.

Call of Duty Black Ops 4

The official teaser — above — features quick cuts of elements to be featured in Black ops 4. We see a quick glimpse of an RC Car, Drone, power amour, robotics, guns and more.

It’s your average, Hollywood, Michel Bay-style, over-the-top trailer. It shows nothing, but it’s sure to get fans pumped.

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 will be officially unveiled on May 17 by Treyarch in a community reveal. Hopefully, in that livestream, they can explain why the logo is ‘IIII’ instead of ‘IV.’

It’s clear that the logo is supposed to be a shield, but surely the designers could have made the correct Roman numerals look like a shield as well.

In any case, Call of Duty Black Ops 4 will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on October 12, 2018.
