Rainbow 6 Siege Year 3 content launches today

Ubisoft has announced today that the Rainbow 6 Siege Year 3 content has begun to launch from today. The Rainbow 6 Siege Year 3 content available today includes the new co-op mode and two new operators.

As part of “Operation Chimera,” two brand-new operators have been added to the game’s lineup along with Operation: Outbreak; Rainbow 6 Siege’s new co-op mode.

Rainbow 6 Siege Year 3 Content

Lion and Finka are biohazard specialists from France and Russia respectively and are veterans of many biochemical threats around the world.

These two new operators are the best hope to contain a mysterious parasite infection running rampant in the small town of Truth and Consequences, New Mexico.

The brand-new co-op mode — Outbreak — is set in Truth and Consequences across three maps; Resort, Hospital and Junkyard. These maps are exclusive to Outbreak and aren’t likely to appear in adversarial multiplayer.

In addition to Lion and Finka, players will be able to select from Smoke, Ying, Buck, Kapkan, Ash, Doc, Tachanka, Glaz, and Recruit.

Operation Chimera

In addition to the Rainbow 6 Siege Year 3 content, Ubisoft has announced changes to in-game purchases going forward.

From today, the Renown cost of the original 20 operators and all attachments has been removed for players who own the Standard, Advanced, Gold or Complete editions.

Any player purchasing the Rainbow 6 Siege Starter Edition from today will receive six random operators; three random attackers and three random defenders from a pool of 10 operators.

Rainbow 6 Siege is available now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
