As the release date draws nearer, developer Phantom 8 has released a Past Cure teaser trailer. As if the Past Cure story trailer wasn’t enough, the Past Cure teaser trailer takes things to another level.
Past Cure is a story-driven, psychological thriller. The main character Ian went missing for three years before being found wandering on the side of the road.
With no memory of his capture, captors or escape, Ian sets out to find the truth. In the Past Cure teaser trailer, Ian’s mind looks to be unravelling as his brother, Marcus, desperately tries to save him.

Amnesia isn’t the only thing Ian acquired during his missing three years. On his return, Ian has the ability to view time more slowly (bullet time), trigger out of body experiences and use Telekineses.
Each of his powers is useful in helping to solve the mystery of his past, but using them comes at a price.
When using his power’s, Ian is susceptible to powerful and dark hallucinations which threaten to engulf his entire mind.
Each use of his powers separates Ian further from reality, revealing an even darker presence at play.
The Music of Past Cure
In addition to the Past Cure teaser trailer, Phantom 8 has released a track from Past Cure’s soundtrack.
Past Cure’s main theme has been written and composed by Seiren, an electronica outfit from Belgium. The full track is available to listen to on YouTube and is embedded below.

Past Cure looks to be an incredibly ambitious first title from an indie studio. It looks to take inspiration from a wide range of games, but for our money, it’s got a bit of Max Payne, Geist, Eternal Darkness and Alan Wake.
Phantom 8 has been generous enough to post screenshots of the in-game controls on its website which we’eve included below.
Xbox One Controls
PS4 Controls
PC Controls
Past Cure will be available on February 23, 2018.
