Turok 2: Seeds of Evil rated by PEGI for Xbox One

The backwards compatible Turok 2 Xbox One version will join Turok on Microsoft’s console at an as yet undetermined date.

In the beginning of 2018, industry insider Wario64 revealed that Turok had been rated by PEGI for release on Xbox One. Now it looks like its sequel — Turok 2: Seeds of Evil — will also see release on Xbox One.

Turok 2 was originally released for the Nintendo 64 in 1998 and ported to PC in 1999.

It was released at a time when developer Iguana and publisher Acclaim were the clear leaders in the video games arms race.

Turok 2 was one of the first games on the N64 to make use of the expansion pak which allowed it to be played in a whopping 640 x 480 resolution.

The Turok 2 Xbox One version will run at a much higher resolution, rest assured.

Turok 2 Xbox One

The Turok 2 Xbox One version and its predecessor are currently in development by Night Dive Studios. Unfortunately, the developer has yet to announce a release date or even a release window for the titles. Both are expected to release for Xbox One’s backwards compatibility program in 2018.

It’s been 20 years since Turok 2: Seeds of Evil was released and it’s fitting that it be re-released to celebrate one of the best console shooters ever made.
