Phantom 8 Studios’ the Past Cure story trailer looks like a dark ride

Phantom 8 Studios first title is due to be released later this month. The Past Cure story trailer introduces us to the main character, his motivations and some of what to expect in Past Cure.

Past Cure looks to be a combination of Max Payne, Quantum Break, Eternal Darkness and Geist.

Past Cure is a story-driven, single-player experience. In the Past Cure story trailer, we meet the protagonist Ian. A former soldier, Ian went missing for three years before being found wandering on the side of the road.

With no memory of his capture, captors or escape, Ian sets out to find the truth.

Amnesia isn’t the only thing Ian acquired during his missing three years. On his return, Ian has the ability to view time more slowly (bullet time), trigger out of body experiences and use Telekineses.

Each of his powers is useful in helping to solve the mystery of his past, but using them comes at a price. When using his power’s, Ian is susceptible to powerful and dark hallucinations which threaten to engulf his entire mind.

Each use of his powers separates Ian further from reality, revealing an even darker presence at play.

Past Cure will be available for PS4 and Xbox One from February 23, 2018.
