Paris Games Week 2017 – God of War is coming to PS4 in early 2018, trailer shows off combat

The latest trailer for God of War looks much more like the games we remember. Shown during PlayStation Press Conference at Paris Games Week, Kratos and his son engage in some combat with undead enemies.

The combat is fast, fluid and violent, which is exactly how it should be. Wielding a Nordic axe instead of his trademark Sword, Kratos looks every bit the Viking. His massive beard lends itself to his appearance as a father too.

The trailer makes it clear that the relationship between Kratos and his son is going to be very much at the forefront. His son even manages to assist Kratos during combat. His bow skills, keep Kratos’ combo going and the two of them work together as one.

The last few seconds of the trailer show a terrifying female demon. It’s unclear if she’s just another enemy or something else altogether. The trailer seems to have been taken down, but we’ve managed to capture and upload it for you. Aren’t you lucky.

Finally, the trailer announces that God of War is coming to PS4 in early 2018.
