How big is Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus’ install?

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is due out in a few weeks. It will, of course, be available in stores, but if you’re someone who prefers digital you may be wondering how big the install size is.

Will you need to clear out some space to make way for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus? Will it take dozens of hours to download? Thankfully, no seems to be the answer to both questions. According to the Xbox Games Marketplace page for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, it will require 46.31GB.

The file size is pretty surprising when you consider that Wolfenstein: The New Order was a 47GB download on PS4. The New Order was also a cross-gen title so having The New Colossus roughly the same size is a pretty big achievement. Let’s hope that the compression isn’t too heavy-handed or that the graphics don’t measure up.

From everything we’ve seen so far, it looks like neither one will be an issue.

The file size may not be an issue for most players, but the content has been for some. Over the weekend Bethesda was forced to defend its use of Nazis in the game and marketing by a small group from the alt-right.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on October 27.
