Relive your past in The Evil Within 2

Bethesda and Tango Gameworks are going to force Detective Sebastian Castellanos to face his past. In The Evil Within 2, whispers of Castellanos’ troubles, events he’d like to forget, can be found scattered throughout.

During a hands-on at Gamescom, one such whisper was uncovered. It gave players a look inside Castellanos mind and his mental state following The Evil Within. In The Evil Within 2, Castellanos enters a new STEM, with a core built using his daughter’s mind. This new STEM should have no knowledge of his past or the events that occurred in the original STEM. Castellanos is the only link between the two events. But, his memories of Beacon start to meld into Union and Castellanos is left questioning everything.

In The Evil Within 2, Castellanos’ grip on reality is incredibly fragile, but could everything he’s seeing be real? In Union, there are many locations to explore. All of them will give the player certain benefits if they choose to explore. Whether it’s ever important resources or simply a deeper look at the universe’s lore, there are plenty of reasons to explore thoroughly. Though, there is always the potential that nothing is real and Castellanos’ mind has been fractured.

The Evil Within 2 will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on October 13. That’s Friday the 13th, in-case you didn’t know.
