Total War: ARENA enters closed beta next month

Wargaming and Creative Assembly have announced that real-time tactical battle game Total War: Arena will enter a closed beta period next month.

The closed beta will give access to three different factions; Roman, Greeks and Barbarians. Ten historic commanders will lead their armies into battle including the like of Caesar, Leonidas and Boudicca, Queen of the Iceni.

Boudicca is brand new for the closed beta and was not included in the alpha period. Leading her Barbarian warriors, she has access to an entirely new tech tree. There are over 140 units available in the closed beta with, massive 10 v 10 battles available.

The initial alpha period saw the Creative Assembly team work with the community to make Total War: Arena the best game possible. As a thank you, all alpha testers will automatically gain access to the beta.
