Introducing the monsters of Middle-earth: Shadow of War

Warner Bros and Monolith Productions are obviously not trying to secure the tender for Middle-earth’s tourism board. The latest trailer for Middle-earth: Shadow of War is an excellent example of why it’s not an ideal holiday location.

Showcasing the new game’s menagerie of fantastic, disgusting and hideous beasts, the trailer shines a light on all manner of monsters Talion will fight. The trailer gives an especially good look at Balrog Tar Goroth and Ghûls and Carnán, the mysterious spirit of nature who can take the form of vicious creatures herself.

Shadow of War is the sequel to Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and follows ranger Talion and the spirit of elf lord Celebrimbor on their quest to defeat Sauron. The revolutionary ‘Nemesis System’ makes an expanded return in Shadow of War and will apply to both enemies and friends.

Shadow of War will also allow players to transfer their highest ranked Nemesis and Follower from Shadow of Mordor.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One from October 11, 2017.
