Persona 5 will be playable with both English and Japanese voice acting, release date delayed

Atlus has announced that Persona 5 will launch in the west with both English and Japanese voice acting.

Available as free DLC at launch, the Japanese dub means that the release date for Persona 5 has slipped to April 4, 2017. Atlus has delayed the release in the west due to the overwhelming success of P5 in Japan and the desire to make sure the western release is perfect.

The team is redoubling QA and localisation and has even reentered the studio to record new lines if dialogue. Atlus will also be providing the Ryuji Theme & Avatar Set free to all PS4 users on November 24. The download will only be available for 24-hours.

Atlus has also release three new trailer for Persona 5. Two focus on two new Phantom Thieves member — Yusuke Kitagawa and Makoto Niijima — while the third is an interview with Makoto’s voice actor Cherami Leigh.

Persona 5 will launch for PS4 on April 4, 2017.
