Danny and Michael Phillippou confirm “There’s some fucked up shit” in new film Bring Her Back

Danny and Michael Phillippou, directors of Talk to Me, have appeared in a new featurette for the upcoming film Bring Her Back. Coming to cinemas on 29 May 2025, Bring Her Back is a “demented new possession horror.”

Per Sony Pictures, “A brother and sister uncover a terrifying ritual at the secluded home of their new foster mother.” Starring Billy Barratt, Sora Wong, Jonah Wren Phillips, Sally-Anne Upton, Stephen Phillips, Mischa Heywood and Sally Hawkins, Bring Her Back is a film the brothers hope terrifies viewers but one that also makes them feel emotional.

In the featurette, Danny and Michael confirm that Bring Her Back features some “fucked up shit.” Sounds perfect.

The brothers briefly discuss filming the movie and how scared they were of Sally Hawkins, who, they say, transformed herself for the role. Hawkins is known for Paddington, Wonka and The Shape of Water.

Bring Her Back was filmed in Adelaide and will be released in cinemas on 29 May 2025.
