World of Tanks Modern Armor adds Iron Maiden as part of Metal Fest

Say hello to Eddie, Bruce, Steve and the gang from Iron Maiden as World of Tanks Modern Armor adds the seminal metal group to the final act of Metal Fest. Metal Fest has so far seen Sabaton and Megadeth and now, Iron Maiden is storming the stage for the grand finale.

World of Tanks Modern Armor’s Metal Fest is an in-game music festival celebrating metal and featuring “branded tanks and awe-inspiring commanders.” Taking place across three acts, each featuring an iconic band, act three celebrates Iron Maiden.

Running from September 12 through October 3, Iron Maiden’s appearance in World of Tanks Modern Armor “offers players an unparalleled hard rock experience.” By playing World of Tanks Modern Armor during Metal Fest and Iron Maiden’s appearance, players will work towards unlocking exclusive rewards “that truly embody the spirit of Iron Maiden.”

Taking the spotlight as part of Iron Maiden’s appearance is the themed Senjutsu TO-55 flamethrower tank as well as the “A Matter of Life and Death (AMOLAD) tank, a Cold War vehicle exclusive to World of Tanks Modern Armor that was designed specifically for this event.” Eddie appears as a 3D Hero Commander, growling and terrifying players with this voiceover and rage.

As part of the Metal Fest event, players will be able to unlock 14 different Eddie 2D Standard Commanders. Each has been designed to show Eddie in his best light as well as pay tribute ot his appearance on each and ever Iron Maiden album cover released. Two Iron Maiden songs also appear during Metal Fest; “Brighter Than a Thousand Suns” and “The Writing on the Wall.” 

To recap, Metal Fest’s Iron Maiden appearance includes;

  • An immersive in-game music event
  • Branded tanks and Commanders including:
    • The Iron Maiden-themed Senjutsu TO-55 flamethrower tank 
    • A Matter of Life and Death (AMOLAD) tank
    • Iron Maiden’s iconic figurehead Eddie appears as a 3D Hero Commander
    • There will also be a gallery of 14 different Eddie 2D Standard Commanders to collect
  • Iron Maiden songs playing in the garage
  • A trove of other exclusive rewards!

World of Tanks Modern Armor’s Metal Fest event featuring Iron Maiden is live now and runs until October 3, 2023.
