Hearthstone Masters Tour is headed to Onyxia’s Lair

Blizzard has announced that the very first Hearthstone Masters Tour for 2022 is headed to Onyxia’s Lair. The brand-new miniset will be front and centre when 400 players from 40 countries take part in the competition with a prize pool of $250,000 USD.

Viewers who tune in and have linked their YouTube and Battle.net accounts will have the chance to earn Fractured in Alterac Valley drops while watching the best players compete for the crown.

Casters TJ “Azumoqt” Sanders, Darroch “Darroch” Brown, Jia “Jia” Dee, Neil “Lorinda” Bond, and Alex “Raven” Baguley will be on-hand to talk viewers through all of the action.

Hearthstone Masters Tour 2022

Blizzard has laid out the schedule for Masters Tour Onyxia’s Lair as follows;

Gameplay will be in a 4 deck, best-of-5 Conquest with a ban format. The top 32 players that don’t already have invites will receive one for the second Masters Tour event of the year, Masters Tour Ruins of Alterac!

  • Day 1: Four rounds of Swiss.
  • Day 2: Four rounds of Swiss.
  • Day 3: Top 16 single-elimination playoffs, where a new Masters Tour Champion will be crowned!

Players can earn up to two Fractured in Alterac Valley card packs while watching on YouTube (English (Hearthstone & English (HearthstoneEsports). Just watch two total hours to receive one pack and an additional two hours for the second pack. Watch time is cumulative too so you can watch incrementally.

To connect your accounts;

  • Log in or create an account on YouTube.
  • Navigate to Account Sharing under “Connected Apps” in Settings.
  • Select “Connect” next to Battle.net.
  • Follow the simple prompts to finish connecting accounts.
  • When connecting accounts, be sure that you’re currently logged into the Blizzard
  • account on which you’d like to receive your Drops.

Hearthstone’s Masters Tour 2022 kicks off on February 18 through February 20.

  • Dates: Thursday 18 February – Saturday 20 February 2022
  • Day 1: Swiss Rounds 1-4
  • Day 2: Swiss Rounds 5-8
  • Day 3: Round of 16, Top 8, Semifinals, & Finals
  • Broadcast Start Time: 10:00 am AEDT
  • Prize Pool: $250,000 (USD)
  • Format: 4-deck, best-of-5 Conquest with a ban
