The Elder Scrolls Online: Markarth concludes the Dark Heart of Skyrim, includes new Zone, story and more

In the massive Dark Heart of Skyrim Year-End Preview event, Bethesda lifted the lid on a tonne of new content coming to The Elder Scrolls Online and announced a brand-new DLC; The Elder Scrolls Online: Markarth. Set in a new Zone, this part of Skyrim is known as the Reach.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Markarth will also add a new storyline that ties into the Dark Heart of Skyrim as well as a new solo arena. Launching on the PTS on Septmber 21, Markarth’s Prologue Questline is available in the Crown Store in live right now, for free.

The Prologue Questline leads into the main story of Markarth and the conclusion of the Dark Heart of Skyrim.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Markarth

Alongside the announcement of The Elder Scrolls Online: Markarth, Bethesda also announced a brand-new in-game event starting next week. The Lost Treasures of Skyrim is a challenge for all ESO players to unlock three tiers of rewards. These special rewards include cosmetics, a pet, a new house and the very first new houseguest collectible.

The Lost Treasures of Skyrim are unlocked through the Antiquities system and the more treaures players dig up, the faster the rewards will be unlocked. These special rewards are only available to players who own Greymoor.

Other events coming up in ESO following The Lost Treasures of Skyrim are;

  • Lost Treasures of Skyrim (September 23-October 5)
  • Witches Festival (October 22-November 3)
  • Undaunted Celebration (November 25-December 12)
  • New Life Festival (December 21-January 2, 2021)

Each event includes its own rewards and allows players to collect Event Tickets as well as the final Indrik evolution; Crimson Indrik. Bethesda has promised to reveal what’s replacing the Indriks at a later date.

Finally, Bethesda has announced the #TamrielTogether promotion.
