PGA Tour 2K21 tees off in August

2K and HB Studios, developers of The Golf Club 2019 Featuring PGA Tour, have announced a brand-new PGA Golf game launching in August 2020 for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch and Xbox One. PGA Tour 2K21, aside from being a much shorter and better name, is the natural evolution of The Golf Club franchise; according to 2K and HB Studios.

PGA Tour 2K21 features 2017 FedExCup Champion Justin Thomas as its cover star and gives players 15 licensed PGA Tour courses and a Course Designer. Each of the 15 courses in-game has been scanned using “cutting-edge technology” to ensure they’re as true to life as possible.

Alongside Thomas, 11 other PGA Tour Pros will be playable in the game. Each “will present a challenge to players in PGA TOUR Career Mode as they compete to become a FedExCup Champion.” Players will also be able to create their own custom characters using equipment and clothing from adidas, Polo Ralph Lauren, Malbon Golf, Calloway Golf, Bridgestone Golf, TaylorMade Golf and more.

Justin Thomas said of his appearance as cover star;

Being chosen to be the first-ever cover athlete for the premiere PGA TOUR 2K game is a tremendous honor. I’m excited to join the 2K family and challenge players everywhere on the digital links

While playing PGA Tour 2K21, players will be treated to a broadcast-style presentation which includes seamless replays, dynamic cutscenes and play by play commentary. Designed for players of all skill-levels, PGA Tour 2K21 has modes for Rookies and Pros. Players can also play with friends locally and online.

Pre-ordering PGA Tour 2K21 will reward players with a special 2K/adidas CODECHAOS MyPlayer pack. This will also be avaialable for those who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition.

On Nintendo Switch, PGA Tour 2K21 is a digital-only title.
