Pearl Abyss will donate ₩100M to Australian and Turkish relief efforts through Black Desert charity event

Pearl Abyss, developer of MMORPG Black Desert and Black Desert Mobile, has announced that it will donate ₩100M ($84,000 USD) to Australia and Turkey to help with relief efforts. In Australia, the funds will be given to those in need of support following the bushfires. Turkish residents will receive support following the recent devastating earthquake.

Calling on its players, Pearl Abyss is running a special in-game event to raise the funds. Live now and until February 19, this in-game event encourages players to make donations to Australia and Turkey.

Players can purchase tokens with their in-game silver to make a contribution. The ₩100M total will be achieved once five million tokens have been sold.

Black Desert Charity Event

Pearl Abyss CEO Robin Jung said;

We have prepared a love-sharing event to encourage our Adventurers from around the world in Black Desert and Black Desert Mobile to participate in the in-game donation.

We hope that the restoration in Australia and Turkey will be quick, and the victims can return to their daily life as soon as possible.

In April 2019, Pearl Abyss donated ₩100M to help victims of bushfires in Gangwon-do, Korea. An in-game charity event was also held in December to raise funds for Doctors Without Borders.

Black Desert is an open-world MMORPG that is available on PC, mobile, PS4 and Xbox One.
