Wear your allegiance on your ears with the new Razer Kraken Stormtrooper Edition

We know that the Razer Kraken headsets are great. We’ve reviewed both the Tournament Edition and the base Razer Kraken and loved both of them. While we may not have been huge fans of the lurid green colour they come in, the black is a nice option. But now, Razer has released the Razer Kraken Stormtrooper Edition and obviously, they’re the new frontrunners. They may be wired rather than wireless but these cans are stunning both in visuals and the audio they output.

Featuring Razer’s custom-tuned 50mm drivers, 7.1 surround and comfy, gel-cooled headband, the Razer Kraken Stormtrooper Edition is a Star Wars fan’s destiny.

This headset is the fourth of Razer’s Star Wars-themed products which includes the BlackWidow Keyboard, Atheris Mouse and Goliathus Mouse Mat.

The Kraken Stormtrooper Edition is built with the same care and quality as all other Razer products and designed to provide the best experience for users. As described by Razer, the;

custom-tuned 50mm drivers for a wide soundscape from subtle audio cues to helmet rumbling explosions. The uni-directional, retractable microphone ensures your shot calls and battle orders are always delivered in absolute clarity.

In addition, the headset frame is built using bauxite and covered with thick, gel-cooled padding and ear cushions. This is designed to make sure wearing the headset is comfortable for extended periods of time and to prevent the user’s head from getting hot and sweaty.

As the Razer Kraken Stormtrooper Edition is wired, it comes with inline volume and microphone controls. The connection is via a 3.5mm jack making the headset compatible with PC, smartphones and most consoles.

Priced at $170.95 AUD, the Razer Kraken Stormtrooper Edition is available now.
