Darksiders Genesis, the first top-down, Diablo-style game in the franchise is coming to PC and Stadia on December 5, 2019. That’s just two weeks away, however, the Darksiders Genesis console release means, you’ll need to wait until Valentine’s Day 2020. It’s not clear why there’s such a delay for the console versions, but PC players don’t have long to wait.
Darksiders Genesis stars Strife and War, with the former finally rounding out the four horsemen. Darksiders was released in 2010 and starred War.
Darksiders 2 followed, starring Death. It was recently re-released on Nintendo Switch. Finally, Darksiders 3, starring the female horseman Fury, was released in 2018.
It’s been a long time coming, but we’re finally getting to see the fourth and final horseman.
Darksiders Genesis Console
Not only will this new entry allow players to take control of Strife, but it will also be the first game to include two-player co-op as another player controls War.
In this fourth game in the series, Strife is tasked with saving mankind from Lucifer. It’s the first game in the series to be played from a top-down perspective and is the first time a gunslinging Horseman has been featured.
PC players are able to pre-order now from Steam.
Darksiders Genesis launches for PC on December 5 and for consoles on February 14, 2020.
