Get ready for GreedFall with a 14-minute gameplay walkthrough

Spiders’ action-RPG Greedfall is launching for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on September 10. To make sure you’re as ready as you can be for this fantasy RPG, Spiders has released a 14-minute gameplay walkthrough that shows both combat and RPG mechanics. Featuring developer commentary, this 14-minute video is an excellent way to learn about GreedFall, especially if you’ve not been following it.

Set on a newly discovered tropical island, GreedFall casts players as a neutral human who will need to choose if they’ll side with the native elves or the colonial forces seeking to exploit the land for gain.

In GreedFall, players will learn to wield a variety of weapons and magic, use alchemy, craft and more.

In an interview with Escapist Magazine, Spiders CEO Jehanne Rousseau admitted to being a huge fan of BioWare’s narrative RPG titles like Mass Effect and Dragon Age. She also said that she had been disappointed by that studio’s output in recent years.

That being said, Rousseau told Escapist that she was hoping Spiders’ games could somehow “fill the void” left by BioWare.

We are creating them now not to replace [BioWare] but to fill the void in some ways. We can’t really compare. We don’t have the same size teams and budget, but we really try to continue creating games we love.

We hope that players will like it and that players that enjoyed playing story-driven RPGs like the games from BioWare will enjoy playing GreedFall.

Check out the 14-minute walkthrough below and get ready for GreedFall on September 10 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
