Get ready for Rise of the Mech in Hearthstone

A special event is coming to Hearthstone at the beginning of June. The Rise of the Mech event stars Blastmaster Boom and sees him powering up his arsenal and improve his favourite projects.

Included as part of the event is a brand-new Legendary, buffs to cards in all classes, a new Arena draft rotation and a special mech-vitational event.

Two cards from each class in The Boomsday Project have been given a buff. Most cards have simply been reduced in Mana cost, though some have been given higher attack or defence stats.

Rise of the Mech

The brand-new Legendary card is SN1P-SN4P and by logging in between June 3 and July 1, players will earn a golden copy. SN1P-SN4P is a neutral Legendary Mech costing 3-mana with 2-Attack and 3-Health.

SN1P-SN4P also has Magnetic, Echo and Deathrattle ‘Summon two 1/1 Microbots.’

Blizzard has advised that SN1P-SN4P is considered part of The Boomsday Project and will rotate with that set. It won’t be possible to acquire SN1P-SN4P in Boomsday Project packs, but the normal version will be craftable with 1600 dust.

When it comes to the other cards, Blizzard advises;

We think all the cards we chose can lead to fun and interesting experiences, and our aim for these changes is to encourage you to think differently about how you’re currently building decks.

We’re hoping that some of these cards will see consistent play in the current rotation, and even inspire completely new decks without having a lasting negative impact on their respective classes.

If the goal of a balance update is to address metagame outliers, then the goal of something like the Rise of the Mech update is to inspire some fun, new ideas.

You can see all of the cards that have been changed in the gallery below. For full details on their changes see below;
