Sony is showing off MediEvil and a new title on Friday

Like Nintendo has Directs and Microsoft has Inside Xbox, Sony has the PlayStation State of Play. The next State of Play will be held on Friday, May 10 at 8 am AEST.

While the show will only last around 10-minutes, Sony is promising an “extended look” at MediEvil and a first look at a brand-new title.

There’ll also be news on other upcoming PS4 games, but Sony has confirmed there will be no details on the PS5.

PlayStation State of Play

If you’re keen to check out the State of Play can watch live on Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook.

MediEvil is a remake of the PS1 classic from 1998 and is in development at
Other Ocean Interactive. An action-adventure hack and slash title, a MediEvil remaster has long been sought by fans, so getting a look at it is a big deal.

As for the new title, all we know is that it’s from PlayStation Worldwide Studios. Fingers crossed it’s from Japan Studio because if it is, it could be Ape Escape since the franchise’s website was recently updated.

Make sure you tune in at 8 am AEST on Friday, May 10.
