Rebellion gives you Seven Reasons to Upgrade to Sniper Elite V2 Remastered

Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is just around the corner. To help convince gamers who might be sitting on the fence about the upgrade, developer Rebellion has released a video counting down the top seven reasons to upgrade.

One of the reasons is obviously the 4K and HDR support, however, there are quite a few others.

This isn’t just an upscaled remaster, so let’s have a look at the seven reasons to upgrade to Sniper Elite V2 Remastered.

So we know that 4K and HDR support is one of the big reasons but what else is there?

Rebellion is touting the “Incredible Remastered Visuals” of the remaster as one of the reasons to upgrade. The developer claims that the remastered version features “beautifully updated environments, characters, weapons and vehicles, modernised rendering and post-processing effects, enhanced texturing and level geometry, a revamped lighting system, and dozens upon dozens of improvements and refinements.”

In addition, players can take advantage of a frame-by-frame photo mode. By using it, players can advance through the action, frame-by-frame, to get the perfect picture. The photo mode also allows players to change the position of the camera, add filters, change the lighting and even convert the image to X-Ray.

Eight characters from the Zombie Army series will be playable in both the campaign and multiplayer modes and it will run at 60fps (on supported platforms).

When players upgrade to Sniper Elite V2 Remastered, they’re not just getting the original game but also all of the DLC. This includes the Kill Hitler mission. Finally, the remaster includes seven multiplayer modes for up to 16 players — eight players on Switch — including deathmatch, CTF and more.

Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is coming to PS4, Switch and Xbox One on May 17.
