Check out this brand-new Team Sonic Racing gameplay trailer

SEGA has today released a new gameplay trailer showing off Team Sonic Racing

Damn, does it look slick! While the trailer includes some pre-rendered animation, you’ll be hard pressed to tell the difference between it and the gameplay footage.

At only a minute long, the trailer focuses on the racing in the game and also gives us a good look at the tracks and environments we’ll be racing on.

Team Sonic Racing Gameplay

Obviously, it’s easy to draw comparisons between Team Sonic Racing and Mario Kart, but this gameplay trailer does a good job of showing the points of difference between the two. Team Sonic Racing has more of a focus on speed and teamwork while retaining the core kart racing foundation.

A big bonus for Team Sonic Racing is that it arrived for PS4, Switch and Xbox One on May 21. This gives it a one month jump on Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. Both games will be vying for the same audience, so coming out first is a huge bonus.

Earlier this month, additional details on Team Sonic Racing were revealed, alongside a special cartoon.

Team Sonic Racing will be released for PS4, Switch and Xbox One on May 21.
