Dead or Alive 6 will include 24 characters at launch; Brad Wong and Eliot announced

Team Ninja has revealed that series favourites, Brad Wong and Eliot will be included as Dead or Alive 6 fighters at launch. The announcement of these two fighters brings the total number up to 24 at launch.

Dead or Alive 6 is the follow-up to DOA5 which was released in 2012. DOA6 marks a change for the series as Team Ninja moves away from the hypersexualised female characters and focuses instead on esports.

The latest title in the series has been built using a brand-new engine for this console generation which allows Team Ninja to include details such as sweat, costume damage, dirt and more.

Dead or Alive 6 Fighters

Fans of Dead or Alive 6 will be excited to see the return or Brad Wong and Eliot. Brad is known as the “Drunken Master” and uses the Zui Ba Xian Quan style of fighting.

Team Ninja says of Brad;

He uses his drunken style to confuse opponents while striking adversaries from unusual stances ranging from hand-standing and facing backwards to laying down on the ground.

Wong spent years training in the remote mountains of China, until his master ordered him to begin a journey in search of a legendary liquor.

Eliot, “The Apprentice of the Iron Fist,” is a travelling fighter who seeks knowledge on martial arts. Having trained with Brad Wong and learned the art of drunken boxing, his master allowed him to learn Xinyi Liuhe Quan.

The video below shows off both newly announced fighters and gives you a look at how Dead or Alive 6 looks in action.

I recently had a chance to go hands-on with DOA6 so stay tuned for my thoughts.

Dead or Alive 6 will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on February 15, 2019.
