CouchWarriors Crossup is on this weekend and includes Dragon Ball World Tour Saga event

CouchWarriors Crossup is on this weekend and it’s going to be huge and epic. Taking place across both Saturday and Sunday, CouchWarriors Crossup will feature some of the biggest names in fighting games esports battling it out for supremacy.

That’s not all, the event will also include a Dragon Ball World Tour Saga event which will see the winner of the Dragon Ball FighterZ tournament earn their place at the Dragon Ball World Finals. 

CouchWarriors Crossup won’t just be about Dragon Ball though as it will host one of the world’s first Smash Bros. Ultimate tournaments.

In fact, there’s so much on this weekend that fighting game fans will definitely find something to enjoy at CouchWarriors Crossup

In addition to Dragon Ball FighterZ and Smash Bros, the event will also include;

  • 12.30 pm – Melee Doubles
  • 12:30 pm – Soul Calibur VI
  • 1 pm – UNIST (Free)
  • 1.30 pm – Dead or Alive 5 Last Round (Free)
  • 2:30 pm – BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle (Free)
  • 2.30 pm – Tekken 7
  • 3 pm – Rivals of Aether
  • 3 pm – Melee Singles
  • 4 pm – Guilty Gear Xrd Rev2 (Free)
  • 3.30 pm – Street Fighter V 

Additionally, at the event, fans will be able to go hands-on with “the DOAFestival build of Dead or Alive 6” which has not been seen outside of Japan until now.

Being a Dragon Ball focused event, Madman Entertainment will have a special Dragon Ball Super Movie: Broly display where fans will be able to hang out with Goku and Vegeta.

The winner of the Dragon Ball FighterZ event will also earn a share of $5,000 and a special trophy signifying the 7th Dragon Ball on Earth.

This event will also host the BAM Path to EVO event. “A qualifying path for ANZ fighting game esports players.” BAM path to EVO will take place over multiple events, both local and online and will be featured on the front page of Twitch.

The series will has seen players awarded points which have been tallied on the ladder. At this weekends’ event, BAM Path to EVO will culminate in a national championship. Three winners will earn the place at EVO World Championships.

Finally, Melbourne’s esports bar GGEZ will be hosting a pop-up bar at CouchWarriors Crossup for those attendees over the age of 18. After the conclusion of the event on Sunday night, the official after-party will be held at GGEZ in Melbourne.

Entry to the weekend event costs $30 AUD and will run from 10 am AEDT to 10 pm AEDT both days. The Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour Saga and CouchWarriors Crossup will be held at Batman Royale: Lieutenant Room. 14 Gaffney St, Coburg North VIC 3058, Australia.
