LucidSound LS41 Wireless Surround Headset now available to pre-order

The LucidSound LS40 is one of our favourite gaming headsets and we said as much in our review here. So I was more than excited when LucidSound announced the follow-up LS41 earlier this year.

Set to be officially available in Jan 2019, the LS41 takes everything that was great about the LS40’s and improves on it.

The same gorgeous, understated design means you can use this in and out of your gaming sessions. In fact, they are one of the only gaming headsets that don’t look like gaming headsets which is welcome.

A 2.4Ghz Wireless connection works very well with PC, Xbox and PS4 via a USB dongle. I expect it is improved with the LS41. Additionally, a 3.5mm cable is provided for connection to the Nintendo Switch, Smartphones, Tablets and other devices.

Of significant note is the improvement in battery life from 16 hours on the LS40 to 20 hours. Does everybody love to have more time between charges?

I know I do.

The DTS Headphone: X 7.1 Surround was already very good on the LS40s and I expect some improvement in sound. My biggest complaint with the previous model was the middling bass. Hopefully, these have addressed that.

Pre-orders are live now on Amazon with a price of $199 USD. The LucidSound LS41 is expected to start shipping in January 2019.
