Transform Christmas with the Transformers Trading Card Game

This Christmas is shaping up to be a good time for Transformers fans. First up, BumbleBee will be hitting cinemas on December 20.

Set in 1987, the film is a prequel to the visual cacophony that is the recent Transformers movie franchise. Hopes are high that BumbleBee will give a new, more focused direction to the franchise.

It could also treat longtime fans to their favourite robots in something much more resembling their original cartoon forms.

Transformers Trading Card Game

If you are looking for something to keep you entertained in the meantime or perhaps to put under the Christmas tree.

The new Metroplex Deck for the Transformers Trading Card Game introduces a new card class with the titanic Metroplex card. Coming in at double the size of the already massive transformers cards and immensely powerful, these Titan Character Cards are sure to be a huge hit with players.

The Metroplex deck features many new cards not found in the Wave 1 release.

In addition to the Metroplex Deck is the Autobot Starter Set which contains classic characters such as Optimus Prime, Ironhide, Red Alert and BumbleBee.

You’ll have plenty of cards enough to get some tactical two-player games going with these newly released and those that have come before.

If you are wanting to add some Decepticons or any of the other 40 Transformers available in Wave 1 to your collection, they can be found in the booster packs available singly or in 30 pack boxes.

Each booster contains one random Character card and seven battle cards.

The Metroplex deck RRP $29.95 AUD.

The Autobot Starter Set RRP $24.95 AUD

Booster packs come in a box of 30 for RRP $208.50  or $6.95 each AUD.

The Transformers Trading Card Game Wave 1, including booster packs, Metroplex Deck and Autobot Starter Set are available now.

Games have always been a big part of my life in all types of formats. I'm just as happy with a deck of cards or a bunch of miniatures as I am with a keyboard and mouse or controller. Any game where there is a little teamwork happening is usually going be my favourite. I'm very partial to a good RTS, RPG or FPS session with friends, a beer and some decent music.
