LucidSound launches the next generation of its LS Gaming Headsets

LucidSound may not be the biggest name in the audiophile industry but it certainly makes exceptional headsets. LucidSound has launched the next generation of the LS gaming headsets; LS25, LS31, LS35X and LS41.

These headsets will be available from JB Hi-Fi in Australia just prior to Christmas and were first shown off at E3 2018.

Each of these headsets targets a specific audience and gamer. Whether it’s Xbox players, esports enthusiasts or someone who just wants to unwind after work. LucidSound has developed a headset for everyone.

LucidSound LS25 eSports Gaming Headset

The LS25 is designed for the competitive gamer with an over-ear design for immersive sound isolation. Ear cushions with advanced memory foam offer comfort for long play sessions.

A dual microphone design offers a flexible boom mic for game chat while an inline microphone works for hands-free mobile phone use.

The LS25 is compatible with Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Nintendo Switch as well as iOS and Android smartphones.

Microsoft-licensed LS35X bring dongle-free wireless to Xbox

The new LS35X is one of the first third-party gaming headsets to work with Microsoft’s proprietary wireless connection for the Xbox. This allows the LS35X to connect the same way your Xbox controller does and configures automatically.

The most exciting thing about this is that you can finally use the microphone wirelessly. No more connecting a cable to your control pad just to have chat. I complained about this in our review of the otherwise excellent LS40’s.

Now those days are in the past for a fully wireless setup. Throw in both Windows Sonic and Dolby Atmos capability and Xbox owners have a true winner here.

LS31 Wireless Gaming Headset

A follow up to the very well received LS30, the LS31 is an upgrade in several ways. New drivers and amplification improve bass and reduce distortion. The flexible boom mic has been improved for greater pick-up accuracy.

LucidSound has improved the build quality of the headband and ear cups for a more pliable and comfortable experience.

LS41 Wireless Gaming Headset

The LS41 replaces last years LS40 which is one of our favourite wireless gaming headsets to date. LucidSound have made several improvements to an already exceptional pair of headsets.

Rich DTS Headphone:X 7.1 surround sound with up to 6 different EQ modes delivers excellent gaming and media sound. New gel-cooled memory foam ear-cups are a welcome improvement.

An improvement in battery life up to 20 hours from last model’s respectable 15 hours and a redesign of the USB transmitter with a flexible design. This allows for easier placement when connecting to your console in those tight cabinets.

All these headphones are available at JB Hi-Fi starting late October.

  • LS25 – Available Late October – RRP $119.95 AUD
  • LS31 – Available Early November – RRP $199.95 AUD
  • LS35X – Available Late October – RRP $249.95 AUD
  • LS41 – Available December – RRP $299.95 AUD
