In Pictures – The Melbourne Esports Open

The Melbourne Esports Open held at the beginning of September was a huge success for ESL and TEG Live. Over 12,000 esports fans attended the event, including members of PowerUp! across September 1 and 2 2018.

Social Media was also heavily invested in the event with #MEO2018 the number one trending national conversation on Twitter during that weekend.

The big events were the finals of the Overwatch Contenders and League of Legends’ Oceanic Pro League Grand Final. With PowerUp! on hand at the event, we have photos from the event to share.

Enjoy.

Hi, my name is San and I’m an Associate Editor/Content Producer here at PowerUp! On most days you’ll find me playing League of Legends or trying my luck at an indie title or two. I grew up on Nintendo for most of my younger years beginning with the N64. Currently, I’m fascinated with the esports industry and I’m probably a bit too competitive for my own good. Chrono Cross is probably my favourite game ever.
