Ubisoft lifts the lid on Operation Para Bellum

Ubisoft has revealed details of the upcoming Rainbow Six Siege expansion, Operation Para Bellum. Year 3, Season 2’s latest content was teased earlier this month and was fully unveiled at the Rainbow Six Siege Pro League Event held at Atlantic City.

We already knew that Operation Para Bellum would introduce the Villa map and two Italian Operators and now, Ubisoft has fully revealed these new additions. Alibi and Maestro will enter Rainbow Six Siege as part of the new content and will bring a Pick & Ban system, a new Intel gadget, game balance changes and more.

Villa joins Rainbow Six Siege as the game’s 20th map and is set during a raid on the Vinciguerra crime family.

Both Alibi and Maestro are defensive Operators and bring a unique take to Rainbow Six Siege’s strategic gameplay.

Alibi, is an undercover infiltration specialist in the Italian Gruppo di Intervento Speciale (G.I.S.) unit. She is a cunning adversary with a gift for infiltrating dense networks of organised crime.

Alibi is notable for her deployable Hologram, a mechanism that makes it difficult for enemies to positively identify her from her incredibly realistic projections.

Maestro, is another member of the Italian, Gruppo di Intervento Speciale (G.I.S.) and participated in joint operations in Iraq, earning a facial scar from a roadside IED.

Maestro is notable for his remote access turret, which is also bulletproof, capable of seeing through smoke, and able to fire low powered-laser beams.

In addition to the Pick & Ban system and new Operators, Operation Parabellum introduces the following;

  • Deloyable Bullet Proof Cameras
  • New Counter Defuser Animation
  • Dropshotting  Adjustments
  • Weapon Sight Misalignment Adjustments
  • New Observation Tool Management
  • Operator Speed Adjustments
  • Echo Buff
  • Clubhouse Map Buff

While Operation Para Bellum will launch in June, PC players are able to jump into the Test server from May 23, 2018.

Operation Para Bellum is Rainbow Six Siege’s Year 3, Season 2 Content drop and follows on from Operation Chimera and the announcement that there are now 30 million players in the game.
