Watch 17-minutes of Dragon Quest XI Gameplay

Dragon Quest XI is headed to PC and PS4 this September, with a Switch release to follow at a later date. Everyone is looking forward to seeing some Dragon Quest XI gameplay.

Today, Square Enix and PlayStation have teamed up to grant that wish.

As part of PlayStation Underground, PlayStation has posted a 17-minute long video featuring Dragon Quest XI Gameplay.

Dragon Quest XI Gameplay

The footage shows fans what they can expect from Dragon Quest XI gameplay and focuses on exploration and combat.

Let’s play Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age on PS4! Our friends at Square Enix guide us through a dungeon as we face a rather rotund boss. See the game, combat system, and beautiful art in action – the first time a mainline Dragon Quest game has appeared on console since PlayStation 2!

The footage features commentary from ‘Neal & Samantha’ from Square Enix. Neal and Samantha join the PlayStation Underground host and explain what’s happening in-game.

Dragon Quest XI looks great in action and Akira Toriyama’s art style really leaps from the screen. The final part of this video shows a boss fight as the heroes battle Jarvis, a chunky monster.

The commentary provided by Neal and Samantha is a great help. They go quite in-depth into the various functions and mechanics of Dragon Quest XI, even providing some nitty-gritty details about levelling up and learning new abilities.

Dragon Quest XI will be available on PC and PS4 from September 4 2018.
