Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer 3 focuses on life in the wild west

Rockstar has today released Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer 3. The trailer (below) gives fans a good look at Dutch’s Gang and its motivations and the harshness of life in the wild west.

Two previous trailers have been released for Red Dead Redemption 2. The first simply gave fans a look at the world in which the game takes place while the second revealed that the story was a prequel and heavily featured Dutch’s Gang.

Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer 3 shows that Rockstar is being very considered and deliberate in its approach to marketing and hyping the game. Not that it needs to be. The thing hypes itself.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer 3

We know that Red Dead Redemption 2 is set before Red Dead Redemption, but it’s not clear what connections it will have to the original. Even more unclear is what role Arthur Morgan will play and how his story will be shaped.

Dutch’s Gang is something of an omnipresent force in the original Red Dead Redemption, but it’s in Red Dead Redemption 2 that we travel further back to see the gang at its full strength.

In Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer 3, we’re shown some pretty awesome looking scenes as the outlaws deal with the reality of law being brought to the west and their time running out. Oh and look, it’s John Marston!

If that doesn’t excite you then you should probably check your pulse.

After a robbery goes badly wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee.

With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive.

As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming to PS4 and Xbox One on October 26, 2018.
