Halo The Master Chief Collection is coming to Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft has teased that Halo The Master Chief Collection is coming to Xbox Game Pass.

In a tweet earlier today, Microsoft showed a number of games coming to Xbox Game Pass and The Master Chief Collection was one of them.

Xbox Game Pass currently has over 100 titles available including new release, Sea of Thieves

The video attached to the tweet (below) shows a fast-food service window handing bags to a car. Each bag shows an image of a game included with Xbox Game Pass.

The games shown are;

  • Super Lucky’s Tale
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider
  • Sea of Thieves
  • Halo The Master Chief Collection
  • Crackdown 3
  • State of Decay 2

The tagline accompanying the video is “Just Say When.” Microsoft is clearly confident about the lineup of games included with the Xbox Game Pass and so they should be.

With the exception of Super Lucky’s Tale, each of the games shown is (or will be) a blockbuster release.

Xbox Game Pass Value

Fans have been clamouring for Halo The Master Chief Collection to be included with Xbox Game Pass. In the most recent Master Chief Collection update on Halo Waypoint, 343 Industries specifically addressed the inclusion.

WILL MCC BE ADDED TO XBOX GAME PASS?

Right now we’re focused squarely on delivering an awesome game update and decisions on when/where/how MCC is released and made available to players will be made by other groups at Microsoft. We have nothing to announce today but it’s something we’re definitely thinking about.

This update was posted on March 7, so things have obviously moved quickly behind the scenes.

Having The Master Chief Collection on Xbox Game Pass is a great start, but what fans really want is the Xbox One X update.

According to the same Halo Waypoint post, progress in the One X update is happening.

Our work on Xbox One X enhancements continues, and the team has been growing as we focus ourselves around qualitative results.

There tends to be excitement around things we can do that celebrate these amazing games and deliver great benefit for our community, so it’s fun to watch the team pursue these enhancements and the enthusiasm they’re bringing to it.

Plus, if you love game art, it’s just plain heaven to participate in the science and artistry of the how this gets approached.

The announcement of Halo The Master Chief Collection’s inclusion in Xbox Game Pass didn’t include a date, but you can be sure that it won’t be too far away.
