Call of Duty WWII The War Machine DLC available now on PS4

Sledgehammer Games and Activision have advised that Call of Duty WW2 War Machine DLC is available for PS4 today.

The second of Call of Duty WW2’s DLC packages includes three new multiplayer maps, a new War mode mission and a new chapter for zombies.

Season Pass holders will receive the War Machine DLC at no additional cost, while others can purchase the DLC separately.

Call of Duty WW2 War Machine DLC

The three new maps included in the War Machine DLC are Egypt, Dunkirk and V-2. Egypt is the first time Call of Duty has been taken to North Africa and is set in and around the Ancient pyramids.

Dunkirk takes place at the site of the evacuation of Dunkirk and retreat of Britain from France. With long open spaces, Dunkirk is an excellent mao for sniping, however, all players will find a way to claim victory.

V-2 is a small map taking place at a rocket testing site in Germany. The focal point of the map is the rocket tower which will draw players into close quarters combat.

Operation Husky

Operation Husky is the new War mode mission which takes place during the Allied invasion of Axis-controlled Sicily. Operation Husky takes place under cover of darkness as players infiltrate and steal enemy intel.

Then, in a first for Call of Duty WW2 multiplayer, players can take to the skies and protect bomber squadrons from enemy fighters.

The intelligence stolen by the Allies from Naples and Palermo will provide much-needed information on German targets which could lead to victory in the war.

Operation Husky took place from 10 July 1943, and ended on 17 August and saw Sicily invaded by two Allied armies. The invasion struck a major blow to the Axis with German forces being diverted from the Eastern front to bolster flagging Italian numbers.

The Shadowed Throne

The final addition included as part of the War Machine DLC is the next chapter of Nazi Zombies; The Shadowed Throne. In this chapter, the zombie hunters make their way to Berlin, to try and put an end to the undead menace for good.

Following Doktor Straub’s trail after narrowly escaping the zombie-infested island, the crew travels to a destroyed Berlin, Germany. Doktor Straub’s monstrous army is hellbent on purging his city of the Allied invaders.

Players will join Marie, Drostan, Olivia, and Jefferson on their descent into madness in a city warped with terror, blood and war, as Nazi Zombies step out from the shadows of history.

Call of Duty WW2 War Machine DLC is available now for PS4 and come to PC and Xbox soon.
