Radical Heights is a free-to-play Battle Royale game from Boss Key

Boss Key Productions, developers of the not so successful LawBreakers, has just released its next title onto Steam Early Access. Radical Heights is a free-to-play, battle royale game with a slick 80’s aesthetic.

Boss Key has labelled this version ‘X-Treme Early Access.’ While the core gameplay is complete, Boss Key has noted that many assets in-game are not complete and are currently placeholders only.

These placeholders include audio, animations, character models and buildings. Boss Key has said that it will be working tirelessly to update Radical Heights continuously.

Radical Heights – Battle Royale, 80’s Style

The Battle Royal genre is growing every-day and with dominant titles like Fornite and PUBG, new games in the genre need to have a point of difference.

For Radical Heights, it’s the 80’s theme. As you can see from the screenshots on this post and the trailer below, the visuals are heavily neon and fluorescent based and the clothes, locations and items all looked ripped straight from an 80’s teen movie.

Welcome to RADICAL HEIGHTS, a free X-TREME Early Access BATTLE ROYALE shooter. Partake in high-stakes gunplay as you loot for weapons, gadgets, cosmetics, and CASH! Survive to the end or risk it all in this irreverent action game show where everyone wants to be rich and famous!

Radical Heights will also include vehicles, however, it seems at this stage, the only vehicle on offer is a BMX.

Tubular, dude

Boss Key has stated that it intends to have Radical Heights in Early Access for a year. In this time, Boss Key wants to work with our fans to build Radical Heights into the ridiculous sandbox of fun we want it to be.

“It’s all about community engagement, and once we launch, this game is no longer our game, but our community’s game, and we are ready to mold it together”

Aside from working with the community to keep the game balanced, Boss Key has also said that it wants to “develop fun sandbox style experiences within the world, and take Radical Heights to unique places with social features. We need our community’s input to truly do this in a meaningful way.”
