The 2018 Pokémon Oceania International Championships is in Sydney this weekend

The 2018 Pokémon Oceania International Championships is coming to Sydney this weekend. Running from February 9 through 11, the 2018 Pokémon Oceania International Championships is the second international event of the championship season.

The event will take place at Sydney Olympic Park and is being organised in conjunction with ESL Australia and The Pokémon Company. Registration and entry are now open via the ESL Australia website and there are three divisions available across three competitions. Entry into the Masters Competition costs $60 AUD while Juniors and Seniors entry costs $30 AUD.

Juniors is open to all players 12 years old and under, Seniors is open to players 13-15 and Masters is open to all players 16 years and over. All three divisions are available across the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon video games and Pokkén Tournament competitions.

Players will battle it out for scholarships, prizes and a potential invitation to the World Championships to be held in Nashville, Tennessee. The entire event will be streamed across four separate Twitch channels with expert commentary analysing all the action as it takes place.

Registration

Those players who don’t register online can take advantage of late registration on the day of the tournament. Check-in and late registration will be available as follows;

Check In for TCG/VGC Masters will be:

  • Thursday 8th February 5pm – 8pm
  • Friday 9th February 7:30am – 8:30am (late check in only via prior contact)

Check In for TCG/VGC Juniors/Seniors and all Pokkén players will be:

  • Friday 9th February 5:00pm – 8:00pm
  • Saturday 10th February 7:30am – 8:30am (late check in only via prior contact)

If you are a TCG/VGC Masters player and can not make Thursday evening check in, or are a TCG/VGC Junior/Senior or Pokkén player and can not make Friday evening check in, you MUST contact this email (eslpkmhelp@gmail.com) and state in the title “Late Check in Oceania International” and in the message have:
