Join Sea of Thieves’ Insiders Program before December to guarantee a place in the alpha

Microsoft has announced today that it’s been almost a year since the launch of the technical alpha for Sea of Thieves. The alpha will close on December 1 but there’s still to get involved.

Any player who signs up to the Sea of Thieves’ Insiders Program before December 1 will be guaranteed a spot in the next session. This means that each and every Sea of Thieves Insiders Program member will have the chance to play Sea of Thieves ahead of its 2018 release.

Sea of Thieves’ Technical Alpha set sail in December 2016 and started with only 1,000 players. In the space of 12-months, that number has grown to more than 200,000. To become a Sea of Thieves Insiders Program member, all you need is an Xbox Live Gamertag and to be over the age of 18. You’ll also need an Xbox Live Gold membership as Sea of Thieves is a multiplayer game.

Sea of Thieves Insiders Program members receive updates on the game through newsletters and forum posts from the development team in addition to playing the game. For more info, head to the FAQ.

Sea of Thieves launches for Xbox One in 2018.
