Rumours of New fighters coming to Street Fighter V and Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite

It’s a big day for video game rumours. According to Reddit user DasVergeben, Season 3 of Street Fighter V and Season 2 of MCVI will include new fighters that are fan favourites.

In addition to the new fighters, there are also rumours of new features and mechanics to be added to both games. DasVergeben is the same person who leaked the characters in Injustice 2’s “Fighter Pack 3” a week before the announcement of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Street Fighter V

According to the rumours, Season 3 of Street Fighter V will include five new fighters. They will be Sagat, Cody and Sodom in addition to two newcomers. DasVergeben says sources have indicated the new fighters will be characters from Final Fight. However, they note that others have indicated the newcomers will be Roxy and Shadaloo Doll.

Free characters will also be included as part of the update and will be Crimson Viper, Q, Necro, and Oro. Critical Arts is something that DasVergeben mentions as part of Season 3 but goes on to say that it will likely be held back for a later release.

Finally, Colour Edit Mode will be added as part of Season 3.

Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite

DasVergeben notes that there will be a sixth but can’t say for certain who it is. They mention the most likely candidates as Rashid, Regina Apollo Justice.

The total list of characters in development according to DasVergeben are; Star-Lord, Ms. Marvel, Green Goblin, Wolverine, Cyclops, Psylocke, Magneto, Storm, Deadpool, Doctor Doom, Daredevil, Asura, Lady, Gill, Rashid, Captain Commando, Nina, Deis, Regina, Gene, Vergil, Akuma, and Apollo Justice.

DasVergeben goes on to say that Capcom has big plans for MCV: I including expanding the roster to 60-characters and improving the visuals and UI. A new story mode is also rumoured to be announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2018.

Do any of these fighters tickle your fancy? What do you think of the rumours?
